| Description of the POI | Lika Potato Day is a local manifestation traditionally held at the end of September in Lovinac. Potatoes are one of the most important food in Lika, Lika potatoes are protected in the EU, and have a geographical indication certificate. During the manifestation Lika Potato Day, one can taste potato delicacies and buy various products from local family farms, associations, and school cooperatives. The rich programme includes various activities for all generations, and visitors have the opportunity to see the performances of folklore ensembles, cultural and artistic associations and tamburitza players. This special manifestation attracts visitors from Lika, Dalmatia and Zagorje. |
