| Description of the POI |
In the Gospić area there are numerous rivers on which sport fishing is possible: Novčica, Otešica, Bogdanica, Jadova, Glamočnica, but also Lake Kruščica. Sport fishing in Gospić has been popular since ancient times, when the first Sport Fishing Association of Lika was founded in 1927.
The rivers are home to many species of fish, the most well-known being the trout, the pike, the catfish, the grass carp, the tench, and the crucian carp.
Aside from the rivers, Lake Kruščica is also very interesting for sport fishermen. It is home of the catfish, the carp, the pike and the tench. |
