| Description of the POI |
Patron Saint's Day in Gospić is celebrated on July 22nd on the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, the patron saint of the city. According to the tradition in Croatia, Patron Saint's Day is celebrated as the day of that city. As part of the celebration, a number of cultural, sports, and musical events are held during June and July. The main celebration is held on Stjepan Radić Square, where one can see the performance of the Majorettes of the City of Gospić, the Wind Orchestra of the City of Gospić, the Historical Unit of the City of Gospić "Lika regiment", the Folklore Ensemble "Dr. Ante Starčević ”. In addition to the entertainment program, there is also a gastronomic offer, and at the very end, fireworks are prepared. |
