POI BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Description of the POI
The Cetingrad Franciscan monastery is one of the most important Franciscan monasteries in Croatia, founded in the 15th century. It is the seat of the Cetina Custody and a significant building for that area. The most significant remnant of the Franciscan monastery is the tombstone of Juraj Grgurić Karinski from 1502, with the coat of arms of the Old Croatian tribe of Lapčani and an inscription. According to historical sources, the ceremony of proclaiming Archduke Ferdinand Habsburg Croatian king on January 1, 1527 was held in the monastery church.
