POI BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Description of the POI Once surrounded by valleys, Ostellato, after WW2, underwent a long process of land reclamation that changed profoundly the socio-economic system and bettered the conditions of the communities living in the marshes. The territory is scattered by numerous operating pumping systems, which testimony the process of land reclamation started during the Renaissance by the Este family and concluded in the 70s’.

The stations are not open to the public, but it is possible to see them from the outside on a bike tour from Ostellato to Argenta that passes nearby the following pumping stations: Martinelle, Bevilacqua and Trava.
