POI BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Description of the POI
The main square of old Alfonsine was completely destroyed by the German in 1945 before their retreat northward, after having been heavily bombed by the Allies. With fantasy and with old pictures and thanks to the people who continuously try to keep memories and traditions alive, it is possible to imagine how the old Alfonsine and its main square had been.

The tour of Old Town Alfonsine offers a narrative and of the life, habits and expectations of the people living there before the war and describes the architecture of the village before WW2. It is a visit that requires imagination, as most historic buildings do not exist anymore, but it is also an opportunity to comprehend the impact and consequences of the conflict on this area. and empathize with the suffering of war-torn communities.
