Description of the POI
Museo del Senio is a modern museum documenting the final stages of the attacks on the Gothic Line, culminating with the battle of April the 10th 1945, an important event of World War II. The museum has two main displays: one is about the transit of the Allied troops and the other documents partisan resistance in Romagna. The collection includes many photographs, original maps, military uniforms and equipment, flags and military items that were converted for everyday use after the conflict.

DescriptionThe Museum’s collection, organized along thematic sections on the passage of the Allied Armies and on Romagna’s Resistance, is augmented by a photographic archive documenting the changes in the territory and in the living conditions of the population during the war. An example of a “Bailey Bridge”, used by the British in the lagoon areas (locally known as valli) and still in use in civil engineering today, is on display in the exterior courtyard. The main collections of the Museum include arms, uniforms, flags, military instruments, propaganda material, and historical maps. The film archives’ audio-visual material, which includes original documents and fiction, can be viewed in the film room.

DescriptionUniform in light cotton canvas consisting of khaki-colored Saharan, khaki-colored Bermuda shorts but of a lighter tone, beret, socks.
The uniform is that of Popski's Private Army later called No 1 Demolition Squadron, PPA. It was an irregular unit of the British Armed Forces, with few men participating in the war on the African and Italian fronts

DescriptionThe Jewish Infantry Brigade Group narrated by Giuseppe Masotti, more commonly known as the Jewish Brigade Group or Jewish Brigade, was a military formation of the British Army in World War II. It was formed in late 1944 and was recruited among Yishuv Jews from Mandatory Palestine and commanded by Anglo-Jewish officers. In October 1944, under the leadership of Brigadier Ernest F. Benjamin, the brigade group was shipped to Italy.
The brigade group took part in the Spring Offensive of 1945. It took positions on the front line for the first time on March 3, 1945 and entered in combat for the first time on March 19–20, 1945 at Alfonsine.

The museum is designed to emphasize the human experience of the war, both soldiers and partisans and of the people. The exhibition displays a wide collection of objects, photographs, materials relating to the resistance, in addition to a virtual experience in a bunker, where people used to hide during bombing.
